Bedroom/Dressing Room

This project was undertaken to expand the bedroom and increase the property's value. The space initially featured a large, inaccessible eaves area, which we decided to extend into by removing the partition between the bedroom and the existing ensuite to create a spacious dressing area. The plumbing was relocated to the far end of the newly opened space, allowing for a larger, more practical ensuite. My main focus was to ensure room for both a freestanding shower and a full-sized bath, which led me to specify a depth of 1800mm for the ensuite. Given the room's layout, the door and shower were positioned centrally within the space. To enhance natural light and increase headroom, we incorporated two dormer windows, and to create a relaxing atmosphere, a Velux window was added above the bath, completing the tranquil, "chilled" feel of the room.
